Exploration into new unconventional methods of working, these pieces combine screen printing of resists and ink washes to create surprising and unpredictable results.

In this vortex series I was interested in discovering the many possible combinations and systematically worked through different colour combinations and orders to explore what outcomes were possible. Read more about my method in this blog post.

Following on I created the prints entitled “4 Girded Orbs” looking at the effects of opposing later ordering on ink washes within a single image and “36 Orbs” a presentation of 9 of the varied edition as a larger piece. For more info read here.
